Your images. Your browser. Clear choices.

This page describes the current public PicEdita editor and image tools: local image processing, browser storage, network downloads and how to contact the developer.

Updated .

Where are my images processed?

The editor and quick image tools decode, edit and export images in your browser. Choosing a file makes it available to the page for local processing; the current tools do not send that image to an image-conversion server or a remote AI inference service.

A website connection is still needed to load PicEdita and any required processing resources. Local processing does not mean that the website makes no network requests.

What is saved in my browser?

The editor stores saved projects and automatic recovery drafts in this browser using IndexedDB. It also uses local browser storage for preferences such as interface language. Quick-tool previews and generated downloads are held temporarily while you use the page; downloading a result saves a file to the location you choose.

Saved projects and recovery drafts are separate records. They do not sync across devices or browser profiles, and there is no cloud project backup in the current public version. Clearing site data, using a temporary browser profile or browser storage eviction can remove local work. Export files you need to keep before removing site data.

Why do some tools download extra files?

Depending on the tool, your browser loads image decoders, WebAssembly runtimes, color profiles or local AI model files. The public deployment uses Cloudflare hosting and, for some large processing resources, Hugging Face and jsDelivr. Optional online font browsing can request fonts from Google Fonts. Downloading a model or font is different from uploading your artwork.

These providers receive normal web request information such as your IP address, requested resource and browser request headers. PicEdita does not attach your image pixels or local project contents to model or runtime downloads. Browser caches may retain resources, but full offline availability is not guaranteed.

Website requests and hosting

Cloudflare delivers the public site and may process request information for delivery, security and operational purposes. The public pages do not currently include an advertising tracker or a site analytics script. This does not mean that the hosting or resource providers keep no operational logs.

For provider practices, see Cloudflare, Hugging Face, jsDelivr and Google Fonts.

What happens if I email support?

Emailing [email protected] shares your address, message and any attachments with the PicEdita developer and the email services used to deliver the message. Send only information you want to share for support. An attachment sent by email is outside the local-only image processing workflow.

You can use the same address to ask about a support message or request its deletion. The developer cannot delete files on your device or browser records remotely; manage those using your browser and file settings.

Questions and updates

This explanation applies to the current public version, which has no required account or cloud project synchronization. If data handling changes, this page should be updated to describe the new behavior. For questions, visit Contact PicEdita.
